The E. T.
Greiner/ B. A.
Hemley building in Columbus Grove, Ohio. This 1890 structure is wonderful for several reasons. This design is most unusual and the craft required to execute the design is first rate. The bricks used are not the more common red but something different. Brick masons that helped build this building were very skilled. The detail is amazing. In addition, the use of positive and negative space in the design is most unusual. For me, this is the most interesting building I have so far seen. (click on image to enlarge)
