Red Door

This is a film image that has been scanned. A couple of days ago I attempted to reprint a digital photograph. The CD on which the image was located could not be read! Seems the disc is corrupted and can not be opened. A wake up call. From now on my important/personal images will be on film.

Burning photos and other important data on discs can be risky. Many labeling methods such as stickers or markers can corrupt data. This is especially true with DVDs. Labeling any disc should be done safely with a quality labeling method. A new devise that I use extensively called the DiscPainter (put out by Dymo) is a fast, easy, and safe way to label discs. In labeling over 200 discs, I have never suffered any corrupted data.

rob- I never label on a disc so that was not the problem. Rather it appears that for some reason the CD just cannot be opened. Will continue to attempt to recover the data using a couple of recovery programs.
