Morning along Main Street. West Union is a city with a population of less then 2600. Originally called Knob Prairie, it was founded by William Wells, naming it for his hometown, also called West Union in Ohio. (click on image to enlarge)
Buda is located along Illinois State Route 40. It's population is around 600. It is considered as a "ghost town" of Illinois. Have a "Bud" in Buda. (click on image to enlarge)
The East/West highway-Route 38- is a main city street in downtown New Castle. Along the road are a number of empty buildings and vacant storefronts. (click on image to enlarge)
Last visited New Castle, Indiana two years ago. Not much has changed for the good. More empty storefronts and a real sense of decay. (click on image to enlarge)
