Preble County has the feeling of Southwestern Iowa. Lots of corn, beans and hay. Some cattle but mostly hogs. This location is about fifteen miles from home.

Along Route 2 in Iowa

Southwestern Iowa is corn and beans along with cattle and hogs. Grain elevators "dot the landscape" in and outside towns. Many small communities have just a post office. With few - if any - retail stores, the elevator becomes the economic center for agricultural supplies.
